Data deletion
How to ask Derksyon to delete your data — as a learner, a captain, a school owner, or someone who sent a WhatsApp message to a school that uses Derksyon.
1. Learners and captains
- Ask your school: its owner can delete your data (name, number, bookings and lesson records) from the dashboard at any time.
- Or write to us on WhatsApp +20 114 218 3040 or at support@derksyon.com with your mobile number and the school's name — we delete it or pass the request to the school.
- To only stop WhatsApp messages: reply «إيقاف» (stop) to any message, or use your private page.
2. If you sent a WhatsApp message to a school
- Messages and conversations are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Want them gone sooner? Write to us on the WhatsApp number or e-mail above with your number and the school's name.
- Derksyon doesn't use Facebook Login and takes no data from your Facebook or Instagram account.
3. School owners
- Ask for your account and your school's data to be deleted from «محتاج مساعدة؟» (Need help?) in the dashboard, or on WhatsApp or by e-mail.
- You get the chance to export your data first; then it is deleted or anonymised within 30 days.
4. What happens, and when
- We confirm we received the request and carry it out within 30 days at most (usually the same day).
- Backups delete themselves after 14 days, so deleted data leaves them too.
- We may keep only what the law requires (such as payment receipts), and only for as long as it requires.
